Pre-Treatment Care

By following these pre-treatment care instructions, you can help maximize your results and minimize any potential complications. Here are some pre-treatment care tips to keep in mind before your session:

WEEKS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Prepare Your Skin: Commit to a skincare routine focused on cleansing and moisturizing the targeted areas to help prepare your skin for the facial and chemical peel. For best results, it is recommended that you use PCA Skin daily care products 10 to 14 days prior to treatment. Please visit our online shop or physical location for more information.

No Tanning Beds or Extreme Sun Exposure: Do not go to a tanning bed 2 weeks prior to your appointment as it can irritate the skin during treatment. Similarly, it is recommended to avoid extreme sun exposure at least 10 days prior to treatment.

Avoid Waxing and Hair Removal: To ensure the best results and reduce the risk of skin irritation, please refrain from waxing or removing hair in the treated area for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your procedure.

DAYS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Hydration: It is recommended to drink at least 2 liters of water each day for 2-3 days before the session to help encourage cell turnover, boost lymphatic drainage, and eliminate toxins from the body.

Avoid AHA & BHA Products: It is recommended to delay the use of tretinoin, Retin-A, Renova, Differin, Tazorac, Avage, EpiDuo, Ziana, and other high percentage AHA & BHA products for approximately 5 to 7 days prior to treatment. Please consult your physician before temporarily discontinuing use of any prescription medication.

THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT

No Lotions or Creams: Clients should avoid applying any lotions, creams, or oils to the treated area on the day of their appointment, as this can interfere with the procedure.

No Waxing or Hair Removal: Waxing or hair removal on the treated area should be avoided for at least 2 weeks before the procedure to decrease the risk of skin irritation.

Exercise: Committing to working out the muscle groups or areas that will be targeted during the session is recommended. It is optimal to start building a habit of at least 3 workouts per week to help tone and tighten the body.

DAYS BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Hydration: It is recommended to drink at least 2 liters of water each day for 2-3 days before the session to help boost lymphatic drainage and eliminate toxins from the body.

Healthy Eating: Making an effort to eat healthier foods before the session is recommended. It is important to avoid high-fat, high-sugar, or processed foods that can contribute to the accumulation of new fat cells.

THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT

Limit Alcohol or Caffeine: It is important to avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours before the appointment, as they can dehydrate the body and negatively affect the lymphatic drainage process.

Light Eating: It is recommended to refrain from eating for at least 1 hour before the procedure and eat light for the entire day to help the body focus on eliminating the treated fat cells.

No Lotions or Creams: Clients should avoid applying any lotions, creams, or oils to the treated area on the day of their appointment, as this can interfere with the procedure.
